Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a J&J firm, announced receiving FDA clearance for the cordless version of its ENSEAL G2 thermal tissue sealer. It’s a ready-to-go device with encapsulated batteries for quick use right out of the box. The cordless design should promote easier surgical access and prevent cord entanglement with other devices in the OR. From Ethicon:
